GETTING STARTED

Pre-Enrollment Tour
We require that all children visit Rainbow C.D.C at least once before enrollment. This visit gives you and your child a chance to meet Teachers, classmates and see the new surroundings together. Talk to your child about the Teachers, children, and what you have seen and heard. Ask the Center Director what activities are planned for your child’s first week. Talk with your child about what’s going to happen, so he/she can be prepared for what’s ahead and anticipate the fun times to come.

Enrollment Information
Before your child joins Rainbow C.D.C, you will need to complete an enrollment application parent agreement, medical forms, notarized custody declaration (when applicable) and other forms required by local and state government. This enrollment information is important for the safety of your child while he/she is at Rainbow C.D.C. Rainbow C.D.C does not discriminate on the basis of race, color, religion, sexual orientation, national or ethnic origin, ancestry, marital status, age, disability, citizenship, political affiliation, or belief in administration of its educational policies or admission policies. Our center has an international and

LAUP Year Calendar

• 175 days instructional program, Teacher training 5day

Provide 3 ½ hours a day free program:

Am-8:15 am-11:45 pm /  Pm –12:15-3:45 pm

* Public holiday, Christmas Vacation: 12/23-1/1  (daycare 12/23 open)

                            Spring Break- 1 week (daycare will be open)-charge extra fee

                            June 15- Graduation Service (daycare will be open)

Parents of children in LAUP classrooms can feel confident that their four-year olds are in preschool programs that have been evaluated for quality. LAUP carefully reviews teacher qualification, class sizes and adult/child ratios, and the environment in which our children explore and learn. All LAUP programs welcome parents into the classroom as active and engaged partners in their child's preschool experience.

PROGRAM

We provide developmentally appropriate interest areas that encourage the child to explore and engage the environment on a first-hand basis. This creates a foundation for children to learn, grow and develop at their own pace. The core of the curriculum emerges from the curiosity, awareness, and interests of the children that blend together to form relevant learning experiences that bring significance to problem solving, social skills, nurturing and creativity.

Children are free to choose from a variety of teacher-directed and child-initiated activities and interest areas, including exploring sand and water; dramatic play; stories; language and literacy activities; science exploration; block building; manipulative and numeric development; art and carpentry materials; music and movement; clay and play dough; sculpting; painting; collage work; cooking; gardening and a variety of active outdoor exploration. All of these activities are designed to promote high self-esteem, independent learning, friendships, and foster lifelong feelings of competence.

Comprehensive support services will include parent education, health services, case management services, mental health services, and information about and referral for other types of services needed by families.

Rainbow LAUP refrains from religious instruction or worship of any kind but Rainbow C.D.C provides christian worship service.
